Sr. Pastor - Rev. Michi Head

 

 

Michi is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA, and Perkins School of Theology in Dallas, TX.  Michi is in his thirteenth year as Pastor at McGuire. Click here to read a welcome from Michi.

 

 

Associate Pastor - Rev. Chris McLain

 

 

Chris is a 2005 graduate of Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport, LA.  He is endorsed for Ministry by the Church Careers Institute at Centenary.  He earned his Master of Divinity at Perkins School of Theology located at Southern Methodist University.  Chris is a Certified Candidate in the Ministry Process in the United Methodist Church and is seeking ordination in the order of Deacon. He specializes in working with our youth and young adults.

 

 

Director of Children's Ministries - Mrs. Sharon Merrill

 

 

Sharon is better known to the children as “Sparkie”. She is the mother of three children…Blaine 30, Bennett 27, and Hannah Grace 17. Sharon grew up as an only child in a small town. For the last 35 years she has written curriculum, taught and directed many children/youth programs throughout Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi. Music is another love of her life.

 

 

Church Administrator - Mrs. Charlotte McKey

 

 

Charlotte began at McGuire in April, 2001 as the church secretary, and moved to the position of Church Administrator in March, 2005. She and her husband of 29 years, Mike McKey, moved to West Monroe in 1991 from Alexandria. They have two daughters. Janyce and her husband, Mitchell, also live in West Monroe and are enjoying time with their first grandchild, Madelynn. Kathryn attends LSU in Baton Rouge, majoring in Kinesiology. 

 

 

Church Secretary - Ms. Rhonda Semmes

 

 

Rhonda became our secretary in August of 2008. She is married to Farrell and between them they have 3 children, and 2 grandchildren. The youngest grandchild is in the McGuire Child Development Center.

 

  

Child Development Center Director - Mrs. Katie McLain

 

 

Katie was born and raised in Hebert, Louisiana. She attended Mangham High School and graduated from there 1998. In August of 2000, Katie received her Associates Degree in Child Care Management from ULM. For 5 years, she worked part time in Child Care centers while attending college and moved to full time after graduation. In June, 2001, Kaite married Todd, who works for the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office. They have 2 children, Chandler and Ava. Katie joined the McGuire Child Development Center as director in December 2008.

Child Development Center Assistant Director - Mrs. Susan Harvey

 

Susan was born in Memphis, Tennessee and moved to Monroe, Louisiana in 1978. She attended Ouachita Parish High School and graduated from there in 1980. Susan received her Associates Degree in Marketing from Northeast Louisiana University. She was a substitute teacher for 21 years and has been an assistant director in another local childcare setting since September of 2008.  She has been married to her husband Tim for 26 years. They have three children, Ryan, Christopher and Kathryn. Susan joined McGuire Child Development Center as an assistant director in March of 2010.

 

 

 

Lay Leader - Mr. Malcom Bass
