Part 1: First Steps Course Offering
First Steps is a three session class led by the pastor on the history, beliefs, & practices of the United Methodist Church. As United Methodists we are rooted in the historic Christian faith, but we have a history, beliefs, and practices that are distinct from our sisters and brothers in the Baptist, Catholic, Pentecostal, Independent, Charismatic, Presbyterian, Vineyard, and Church of Christ churches. All newcomers, members, and leaders of McGuire church are invited to take this course and discover our United Methodist distinctives.

Part 3: Mountain Top Experiences Offerings
Cursillo is a Spanish word meaning “course” and is short for Cursillos de Cristiandad translated short course of Christianity. Cursillo is a 72 hour experience that begins on Thursday evening and ends Sunday afternoon. The weekend looks at Christianity as a lifestyle from a New Testament perspective. Cursillo is a powerful, grace-filled, spiritual renewal weekend, so much so that there is a waiting list to attend. Cursillo is a combined effort of laity and clergy toward the renewal of the church. The Cursillo weekend will be offered 1 more time this year, October 15 – 18. You can register anytime to be put on the waiting list, then you will be contacted as soon as there is an opening. If you cannot go the weekend they call you, you will be put back on the list to be called another weekend. The important thing is to get your name on the list! Register now and see the difference the Lord will make in your life through this weekend!
