Meet the Pastor and Staff

Pastor Austin Rinehart
Austin is a cradle Methodist, being born and baptized in the faith. Austin’s call to ministry was evident early in his life, as many noticed and affirmed God’s work in his life. Austin answered the call to ordained ministry while attending Centenary College in Shreveport where he discovered his passion for leading others, preaching, and building relationships with those around him.
After completing seminary at Garrett-Evangelical Theological in Chicago, IL, Austin accepted his first appointment at Henning Memorial UMC in Sulphur, LA where he served four years. While serving at Henning Memorial, Austin developed his skills of preaching and pastoral care. In June of 2019, Austin was ordained as an Elder in Full Connection. While living in Sulphur, Austin also met his wife, Lexi, and they were married in October of 2018.
Austin isn’t afraid to ask hard questions and he is particularly gifted in helping congregations claim their purpose for ministry in this time and place – claim their “why.” Austin is a gifted communicator, and used those skills to help churches communicate and relate to their mission field in a variety of ways, both digitally and in person.
Austin is known for his heart and seeks to create strong bonds of friendship both inside the church and in the community through civic organizations and volunteer work. Austin isn’t afraid to lead the crowd and is always looking for the next steps moving forward.
In his free time, Austin enjoys cooking, playing with his dog, Krewe, and, of course, spending time with his beautiful bride. Austin and Lexi are excited about the journey ahead with McGuire.

McGuire welcomes the newest addition to our music staff, Marie Menefee.
Marie will assume the role of the Music Director during our worship service. Marie brings extraordinary talent to our community of faith, along with a wealth of experience in leading worship in congregational settings.
We are very excited about Marie joining the McGuire family and can't wait to see where God will lead us next.
